When putting together Sadie the Dream Dancer I wanted the book to have a delicate, transparent, dreamy quality. I carefully selected the paper and the quality of the print to achive the effect I wanted. I only made one copy of the book. The story is told through her diary entries, which I printed on transulsent paper and attached with small pink paperclips. I wanted there to be a feeling of discovery when reading the book, that you have to move different elements to reveal others. I also wanted it to have a feminine feeling, as the story and images critisize many aspects of patriachal culture I wanted the form to translate this.
