My MA graduate show exhibition, in which I presented Sadie the Dream Dancer alongside the origional drawings from the book and various peices of found collaged material. 

Sadie the Dream Dancer

Description : Sadie vomits then writes in her diary. Combining the pracitice of Femmage (feminist collage) with storybook illustration and feminine self-writing, Sadie the dream dancer depicts restlessness: a dream of romantic love in relation to trauma and oppressive ideology. Sadie becomes plasticised out of the necessity of endurance, we follow her as she struggles to form a stable subjectivity amid fragmentation and degradation.
